In light of the current advice from government we have taken the decision to suspend all Woking Cycling Club group and outdoor activities until further notice.
However we are still active as a club, keeping in touch with each other through our Facebook members pages. We also meet up online in lieu of our monthly social evenings and we are running virtual group rides, hill climbs and time trials using online platforms.
See our 'News' page for further information.
From our Club Constitution:
"Membership of the Club shall be open to anyone interested in the sport on application regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs."
Woking Cycling Club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable cycling experience for those living in and around our area. We also like to encourage more people to cycle by offering a range of group rides of varying pace and distance. There's something for everyone from beginners to experienced riders. We have around 250 members and about a third of them are women. That's a good ratio compared to other clubs.
We aim to offer a friendly and informal atmosphere whilst making sure the club and its members are protected by our constitution and club rules.
We are affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling UK and Cycling Time Trials which gives our members numerous benefits as well as supporting the continued success of cycling in the UK.
We provide weekly road rides every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, (weather permitting) as well as offering MTB and Adventure rides. We also run Go-Ride sessions for budding young cyclists to have fun whilst learning new skills.
We hope to ride with you soon. In the meantime have a look around this site and check out our Club Handbook.
Velo et Gateaux.
If you would like more information about our rides and what we do please feel free to get in touch. Send us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
