The government has announced new measures to help reduce the spread of coronavirus, effective from Thursday 5th November 2020, that have implications for our club activities.
Unfortunately under the new restrictions, we will not be able to continue with our club rides until these latest rules are lifted.
From our Club Constitution:
"Membership of the Club shall be open to anyone interested in the sport on application regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs."
Woking Cycling Club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable cycling experience for those living in and around our area. We also like to encourage more people to cycle by offering a range of group rides of varying pace and distance. There's something for everyone from beginners to experienced riders. We have around 250 members and about a third of them are women. That's a good ratio compared to other clubs.
We aim to offer a friendly and informal atmosphere whilst making sure the club and its members are protected by our constitution and club rules.
We are affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling UK and Cycling Time Trials which gives our members numerous benefits as well as supporting the continued success of cycling in the UK.
We provide weekly road rides every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, (weather permitting) as well as offering MTB and Adventure rides. We also run Go-Ride sessions for budding young cyclists to have fun whilst learning new skills.
We hope to ride with you soon. In the meantime have a look around this site and check out our Club Handbook.
