Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. Delivered by our British Cycling qualified coaches, Go-ride skills coaching sessions are run in a traffic free environment to develop the core skills for fun, safe and fast cycling. We concentrate on challenging children as individuals and progressing as a group.
Our coaching sessions focus on:
• Core bike handling skills
• Group riding skills
• Improved riding for recreation or competition
With the easing of Lockdown, we are once again able to offer Go-Ride sessions for riders aged 6-12 years old. Initially we will be running a batch of 6 sessions (to be re-assessed regularly and extended if appropriate)
Dates: 24th April 2021 - 29th May 2021 inclusive
Location: Barnsbury Primary School
Cost Per Session - £5 per rider. Once registered, to comply with current British Cycling Guidance we cannot accept cash ‘pay on the day’ transactions. Sessions can be paid for in advance of each session, or as a block for all six sessions. We are also exploring the option to take contactless card payments. Payment methods will be confirmed to registered riders before sessions start.
Please Note: We are not able to allow on the day ‘walk up’ riders - To participate you must have submitted a completed the Online Rider Information and Consent Form. Upon receipt of your completed form we will confirm your young rider has been registered.
All riders will need their own bike (which is well-maintained) and a helmet.
Please ensure that you are familiar with the Woking Cycling Club Go-Ride Information Pack which contains important information in terms of our expectations and what you can expect.
